My Photography Gear Setup (Canon R6 + My Favorite Lenses for Real Life Moments)
Photography has become one of my favorite creative outlets.
I just love capturing real moments, whether that’s my dogs running around, wildlife in the backyard, or little everyday things that feel meaningful.
Over time, I’ve found a setup that I really love. It’s simple, reliable, and honestly just makes me excited to pick up my camera.
So I wanted to share exactly what I use.

📸 My Camera: Canon R6 Mark II
The camera body I use is the Canon R6 — and I absolutely love it.
It’s fast, super reliable, and the autofocus is honestly amazing (especially for animals and anything moving).
This camera has made photography feel easier and more fun for me.
🔍 My Go-To Lens: 24–70mm
If I had to pick ONE lens to keep forever… it would be this one.
My 24–70mm is my go-to for:
- -everyday photos
- -blog photos
- -lifestyle shots
- -Youtube
- -Pretty much my everything lens
It’s super versatile and just works in almost every situation.
📸 My Telephoto Lens: 70–200mm (For Depth & Distance)
This lens is what gives you that dreamy background blur and more of a professional look.
I love using it for:
- animals (my dogs 🐶)
- wildlife (like deer 🦌)
- portraits
- anything where I want that soft background
🐾 Real Life Shots With My Setup
Most of what I photograph is just real life.
My dogs, random wildlife, moments outside… nothing staged, nothing perfect — just capturing what’s already there.
And honestly, that’s what makes me love photography even more.

What I really love about this setup is how simple it is. I didn’t want a bunch of lenses sitting around collecting dust or feeling overwhelmed trying to decide what to use. I wanted a setup that could truly do it all—and this is exactly that for me.
Between my 24–70mm and my 70–200mm, I feel like I can cover pretty much anything I want to shoot. From everyday moments at home, to portraits, to animals and outdoor shots… I don’t feel limited at all.
It’s just enough without being too much, and that’s what makes me actually enjoy picking up my camera. 🤍

If you’re getting into photography, you do NOT need everything all at once.
I would 100% recommend starting with:

👉 one solid lens (like a 24–70mm)
